UN General Assembly supports Two-State Solution and Palestinian Statehood

The United Nations General Assembly on Friday overwhelmingly voted in favor of a resolution supporting the New York Declaration on recognizing the State of Palestine and advancing a two-state solution.

A total of 142 countries supported the declaration, while only 10 opposed it and 12 abstained.

China announced its endorsement of the declaration, with a Foreign Ministry spokesperson stating that the move aligns with Beijing’s long-standing position on the Palestinian issue.
