Trump Calls for Permanent Ban on Immigration From “Third World Countries”

Washington, November 28, 2025 — U.S. President Donald Trump announced Thursday that he intends to permanently halt immigration from what he termed “Third World countries,” one day after an Afghan national opened fire on two National Guard soldiers in Washington.

In a statement posted on social media, Trump said he would “stop immigration permanently from all Third World countries to allow the American system to fully recover.” He also threatened to cancel “millions” of approved green card applications issued under former President Joe Biden and deport any person who “does not provide added value to the United States.”

Trump further stated that federal assistance for non-American citizens would be ended and that any foreign national posing a security threat or “not compatible with Western civilization” would be expelled.
