Somalia Cancels All Agreements With UAE

Somalia has announced the cancellation of all agreements signed with the United Arab Emirates, including security and defense cooperation deals, citing actions it described as hostile and undermining the country’s sovereignty amid rising regional tensions.

In a statement, the Somali government said the Council of Ministers decided to terminate all bilateral agreements with the UAE after a careful review of recent developments and in line with its constitutional powers. The decision, reported by the Somali National News Agency (SONA), covers all forms of cooperation, as well as related agencies and entities, and was taken to safeguard Somalia’s sovereignty and national unity.
