Tunisia Reviews Cooperation Prospects With Portugal and Poland

Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Mohamed Ali Nafti, held farewell meetings this week with the ambassadors of Portugal and Poland as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral relations.

On January 14, Nafti received Portuguese Ambassador Nuno Bello, praising the strong ties of friendship between Tunisia and Portugal and commending the ambassador’s efforts to deepen cooperation during his mission. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to boosting high-level exchanges and expanding cooperation in key areas, including economy, trade, investment, and academic collaboration.

On January 16, the minister also met with Polish Ambassador Justyna Porazińska, highlighting the positive momentum in Tunisian-Polish relations, particularly following his working visit to Warsaw in December 2024. Discussions focused on enhancing trade, increasing Polish tourist arrivals to Tunisia, facilitating access for Tunisian products such as olive oil and phosphate to the Polish market, and developing joint investment projects.

In both meetings, Nafti expressed appreciation for the ambassadors’ contributions to strengthening bilateral ties, while the ambassadors thanked Tunisian authorities for their support and reaffirmed their countries’ readiness to further develop cooperation and prepare for upcoming bilateral engagements.
