Tunisia, Senegal Discuss Boosting Cooperation in Tourism

Tunisian Minister of Tourism Sofian Tekkia met on Monday, 9 February 2026, with Senegal’s Ambassador to Tunisia, Moustapha Sow, to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation, particularly in tourism and traditional industries.

The talks focused on benefiting from Tunisia’s expertise in tourism training, exchanging experience in tourism classification and investment, updating the bilateral agreement, and enhancing coordination within international tourism bodies. The two sides also explored organising joint tourism and cultural events and handicrafts exhibitions to promote both destinations.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to develop a joint action plan aimed at translating cooperation into concrete projects and initiatives in the coming period.
