Tunisian FM receives the U.S. Ambassador to Discuss Bilateral Ties

Tunis, March 26, 2026 – Mohamed Ali Nafti, Tunisia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, received Bill Bazzi, the United States Ambassador to Tunisia, at the ministry’s headquarters, to reaffirm the strong and longstanding ties between the two countries.

During the meeting, both sides highlighted the depth of Tunisian-American relations, which span over 228 years and are grounded in mutual trust, respect, and shared interests. Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation across key sectors, including trade, security, technology, tourism, and transport.

Nafti also expressed hope for continued U.S. support to the Tunisian community living in the United States, particularly in facilitating their integration. Talks further addressed the need to ease mobility for citizens and businesspeople and to remove barriers hindering tourism, trade, and academic and scientific exchanges between the two nations.
