France Continues as Tunisia’s Main Commercial Partner

France continues to be Tunisia’s top trading partner, according to the 2026 Economic Barometer published by the French-Tunisian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The report highlights the strength and stability of trade relations between Tunisia and France.

The research indicates that 76% of firms in Tunisia plan to keep their cooperation with France in terms of being a trading partner, while 44% of firms expect to enhance their cooperation. In addition, 27% of managers anticipate medium-term growth, accompanied by a drop in negative expectations to 8%.

It should be mentioned that the economic potential of Africa is also emphasized. As many as 44% of firms have not started any business interactions with their African counterparts yet. However, due to its strategic location and regional agreements on trade issues, Tunisia might become a regional center of cooperation.
