The General Directorate of the National Guard has denied today reports circulating in certain media outlets and on social media claiming that over 300 irregular migrants reached the Italian island of Lampedusa from Tunisian shores.
In an official statement, the National Guard clarified that accurate and official data indicate that only 61 migrants departed from Tunisian coasts and arrived in Lampedusa yesterday.
